This is my big step, what's your's?

I have a voice, a very loud one to be honest. I have all these dreams and things I wanna accomplish, but i tell myself that I can't because what would other people think or maybe these things are that practical. Then I look at other people who have done the things that I wanna do and think if they can do it why can't I. The reason I can't is because of myself.

People are gonna judge no matter what you do so why let that stop you? I wish that I could say that right now that I'm applying that to my own life, but I'm not. I have realized one thing though, the only thing holding me back from getting what I want is myself. That right there is a hard truth to face. I've spent the last 20 something years of me thinking that the world is out to get me, but in reality it's just me out to get myself.

Yes, no matter where you go, people are gonna not always support the choices and things you decide to do. But who cares, right? When it comes down to it those people will eventually go back to their own lives or move on to somebody else's to nick-pick. If they don't, then that's their problem not yours. Those are people who you don't need in your life.

But also don't forget to not be the one standing in your own way. Don't be so hard on yourself. If you have a dream or something that you want so badly enough that you have to try and talk yourself out of it, just take the risk. I'm still learning to apply this to my own life, but I'm working on it. I wanna be truly happy with every aspect of my life, I know nothing will ever be truly perfect but if I keep working non stop for bigger and better things then that's all I need. The people who choose to stick with us during those times and support that, are all that we need. So go for it. Starting now go for something that you've wanted so badly for so long, even if it doesn't sound practical or somebody else thinks is dumb.
